Crompton Advt--Murderous Translation !

A TV commercial for Crompton Products is doing the rounds.At the end of it,they want a catchy slogan and chose 'Let us hang out in our home !' Nice,makes sense,in English !
Now ,the Advertising Agency wants this to be translated for the Tamil consumers.I don't know whether they tried out Google Translate.I did and got this horrible translation !

"எங்களுக்கு எங்கள் வீட்டில் வெளியே செயலிழக்க செய்யலாம்"

Roughly ,this would be 'For us,our house out disable ,you can do '

Calling this ,a 'murderous translation' would be a under-statement at the most.It does not convey anything at all.

Crompton ,fortunately should have dismissed this translation and opt for a much worse translation !Yes,they have chosen this alternative:

'லெட் அஸ் ஹாங் அவுட் வீட்டிலே !'

What a Tamil translation! If Mother Tamil is a person,she would definitely file a defamation suit on Crompton for this slogan!How insensitive Crompton is to Tamil feelings!This insult they are doing to sell their products to Tamil consumers!

Ok.Now ,how can we rightly translate the slogan into Tamil ?

'Hang out' means'to spend a lot of time in a place or with someone'

So the equivalent Tamil slogan may be like :

'இல்லத்திலேயே  தான் இருப்பீர்கள் !'

'இனிமேல் இல்லம்தான் !வேரெங்கும் போகமாட்டேன் !'

'இல்லத்துக்குள்ளே சுற்றுலா சுகம் !'

Hope Crompton changes their slogan,if they respect Tamil consumers.
